Answering a theoretical question

“As an Atheist, what would you do if God were to suddenly appear one day, and prove it was in fact God, and remove all doubt from everyone’s minds?”
First of all, that would never happen because God doesn’t exist, and can therefore never make himself known.

However, theoretically speaking, let’s pretend that just now, God emerged and made himself known to mankind. I would say, “OK, I guess I believe in you now, but I have a ton of questions for you.” And this is even ignoring all of the many ugly conceptions of what is preached from the Bible, and narrowing it down to a few of the most basic ideas that most Christians seem to accept, no matter how much they may edit the Bible to their own views.

1. Why was it so necessary for people to depend on blind faith to believe in you? How could you condone having millions of people follow you based purely off of things they’ve heard, especially when you know that people pass down fairy-tales in the exact same way? What purpose did it serve you to remain invisible for so long, watching countless wars and acts of violence while people argued over your “sacred” scriptures?

2. The entire “mysterious ways” bullshit. What’s so mysterious about waiting around doing nothing while you condemn millions to go to Hell just for questioning your existence, or denying it altogether? I mean, can you blame us? You’re comparable to Santa Clause for fuck sake, there is absolutely no shred of proof of your existence that doesn’t hold more ground than my Green Eggs n Ham book I used to read when I was little. What’s so mysterious about watching plagues, and natural disasters kill off thousands of people at a time? What’s so mysterious about letting people starve, and suffer?

3. Are you really omnipotent? Doesn’t that mean that you can change everything exactly as you’d want to in order to make humankind far more better off than we are? Don’t get me wrong, we’ve altogether gotten by just fine without you. In fact, we’d be far, far better off if religion never wrapped its ugly self around our world and caused thousands of wars and flawed morals. And all of these religions were based around you. Apparently you came back to kill off Satan for good, or whatever, but why didn’t you just make it happen the very second he supposedly plunged our world into darkness? Even saying that is leaving plenty of room for plotholes, but for the sake of writing this I’ll let them all slide. What exactly were you waiting for?
Belief in God just doesn’t make sense.
